Cute Little Guy

While we waited for a session in DC yesterday, I watched this little guy scurry around the bushes at the Jefferson Memorial. I have to laugh because the first thing that comes to mind is I will have to tell Sam we found his long lost brother...see, when Sam eats, he likes to sit in a squatting position in his chair, holds his food and picks bite -size pieces off to eat one at a time--strange...I know! He has always done it and we tease him that he must have been a chipmunk in a previous life!

A Contest!

How does free portrait sessions for a year sound? Does a $25 print credit from each session during the year sound good too? Well, even better...to top it all off, I will throw in a $100 credit toward an Image CD! It's simple and FREE to enter! Just signup for our mailing list by entering your email address below to be entered. Don't worry about signing up and then getting all kinds of email from me! I promise the only time you will get an email is when there is a new contest or special to let you know about...maybe once every 6-8 weeks.

The details...winner must live in the Northern VA or Washington DC area. Areas in Maryland within 40 miles of Washington DC are also included. Winner will receive 3 sessions to be completed by May 1, 2010. These may be used at the winner's discretion but I recommend spacing them out about every 3-4 months. It would be a great way to get portraits taken for holiday cards! Winner may transfer one session and print credit to a friend or relative. That's it! No real limitations or exclusions!

On May 1, I will contact the lucky winner with the details they need to know to get started planning their year of portraits! Good luck!

Cherry Blossoms!

Stacy and the boys are here and we wanted some pictures with the cherry blossoms. Cherry blossoms were beautiful..the day was not. It was gray but luckily, DRY! There were so many people I can't even imagine what it will be like the first sunny day we have! We are going back in today to sight see...I think anyway...the weather is still a little questionable!

Poor kids had another snow day!

After this they are going to be begging to go back to school!

No more SNOW DAYS!

The kids are starting to hate snow days because they know they are doomed to playing "model". I have gotten lazy with using automatic focus so have been practicing manual focus again. I can tell the difference so quickly, but it is just too bad it is not feasible with the moving targets children are! My kids know the stiller they are, the sooner they can get up. Today Alec was the victim. I played with some texture obviously, too!

Waiting...

these pictures show what we are all feeling like around here...bored and eager for spring! We have vistors coming April 1-6 and more around the 8th. I hear the Cherry Blossoms should be in bloom at that time. I seriously can't wait to get outside!!!!!!!

I think spring is coming! We have had about 4 days of great weather! It cannot come soon enough...I am soooo tired of being inside and when I do go out, having to hurry in and out from the car to the store or whatever. We had the kids out getting ready for baseball this weekend and of course the camera came too...you can see how thrilled they were!
